Launceston (two miles) is known as the "gateway" to Cornwall with
its Norman Castle, South Gate Arch and unique granite carved church. Midway
between Dartmoor and the Cornish Moors our farm is on the Cornish side of the
river Tamar, central for visiting the sandy beaches and harbours of Devon and Cornwall
and its National Trust houses and gardens.
Lower Dutson is an 180 acre working
cattle and sheep farm, one of it's borders is the river Tamar.
Guests are welcome to walk around the pretty coarse-fishing lake and along the
river Tamar that borders three of our fields, where you might see a kingfisher,
heron, buzzard or deer.
Or fish for
salmon/trout along the river Tamar or try your skills at coarse fishing.
